Moringa + Naloxone, Pentazocine
Naloxone, Pentazocine brand name: Talwin Nx.
Moringa has a minor interaction with Naloxone, Pentazocine. Theoretically, moringa might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Naloxone, Pentazocine
Naloxone, Pentazocine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Moringa interacts with.
In vitro research shows that moringa extract induces CYP1A2 enzymes.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for Talwin Nx (pentazocine combined with naloxone). The pentazocine part is your pain reliever, and it's partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In lab dish studies (not in people), moringa seemed to speed that enzyme up. If that holds true in the body, your liver could break pentazocine down a bit faster, which might mean weaker pain relief than you expect.
I want to be honest, though: this is theoretical and based only on test-tube data, so the real-world effect is likely small. Everyday culinary amounts of moringa in food are unlikely to matter much, but concentrated supplement doses are less predictable. If you take moringa regularly, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on how well your pain is controlled.

About Moringa
What is Moringa?
- Nutritional supplement
- Blood sugar support
- Cholesterol support
- Inflammation
- Skin conditions
Moringa is a nutrient-rich plant whose leaves are widely used as a food and supplement, especially in parts of the world where malnutrition is common. Early research hints at possible benefits for blood sugar, cholesterol, and inflammation, but the human evidence is limited and not strong enough to recommend it as a treatment. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using moringa, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications.
