Here's the thing to know about pairing oolong tea with your Brovana (arformoterol). Arformoterol is a long-acting medicine that relaxes your airways, but like other beta-agonists it can also rev up the heart a bit, sometimes causing a faster or stronger heartbeat, jitteriness, or palpitations. Oolong tea brings caffeine to the table, and caffeine can nudge those same heart effects in the same direction. So when you stack them, the worry is a little extra stimulation of the heart.

This is a theoretical concern based on how these things work, not something proven to cause real trouble for most folks, and it really only matters with large amounts of tea. A cup or two is usually fine. If you notice a racing heart, tremor, or feel wired, or you have heart or blood pressure concerns, chat with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

What Is Arformoterol Oral Inhalation Used For?

Brand name: Brovana

Arformoterol tartrate inhalation solution is used for the long-term, twice-daily maintenance treatment of bronchoconstriction (narrowed airways) in adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

Important: This medication is not intended to treat sudden COPD flare-ups or acute breathing emergencies — it will not work fast enough. It is also not approved for treating asthma.
