Alectinib Hydrochloride falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Some clinical research shows that ostarine can increase alanine aminotransferase, a marker of liver damage, in some patients. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that supplements containing SARMs, such as ostarine, have been associated with reports of liver toxicity and there are at least two reports of drug-induced liver injury attributed to the use of ostarine.

Here's the concern with pairing these two: both can be tough on your liver. Alectinib (Alecensa) is already known to raise liver enzymes and, less often, cause more serious liver problems, which is why your oncology team checks your labs regularly. Ostarine, a SARM that is not FDA-approved, has its own track record of bumping up liver markers like ALT, with a couple of reported cases of real liver injury.

Stacking two liver stressors together could, in theory, make liver trouble more likely. I'll be honest, this is based on how each one behaves rather than a proven head-to-head interaction, so the evidence is on the weaker side. Still, given that Alecensa is a serious cancer medicine, I'd skip the Ostarine and talk with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding anything.

What Is Alectinib Used For?

Brand name: Alecensa

Alecensa (alectinib) is used in adults with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors test positive for a gene change called ALK (anaplastic lymphoma kinase). Your tumor must be confirmed ALK-positive by an FDA-approved test before starting treatment.

Alecensa is approved for two situations: as adjuvant treatment (after surgery to remove the tumor, for tumors that are large enough or have spread to nearby lymph nodes) to help prevent the cancer from coming back, and for metastatic NSCLC (cancer that has already spread to other areas of the body).
