Here's the concern with pairing Puravive and your eribulin (Halaven) chemo. Eribulin can stretch out a part of your heartbeat called the QT interval. Puravive contains Panax ginseng, which may add a little to that same effect. When the QT interval gets too long, it can rarely trigger a dangerous heart rhythm, so the worry is that stacking the two together nudges that risk upward.

I want to keep this in perspective, though. The evidence on ginseng and QT is mixed: some short-term studies showed a small change, while longer use showed none. So this is a possible, theoretical add-on rather than a proven danger. Still, eribulin already affects your heart rhythm, so please run Puravive by your oncologist or pharmacist before starting it. Never stop or change your chemo on your own.

What Is Eribulin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Halaven

Eribulin mesylate injection (brand name Halaven) is used to treat metastatic breast cancer in patients who have already received at least two prior chemotherapy regimens for metastatic disease, including an anthracycline and a taxane. It is also approved for unresectable or metastatic liposarcoma in patients who have received a prior anthracycline-containing regimen.

Both uses are for advanced cancers that have already been treated with other therapies. This is not a first-line treatment — it is used when the cancer has progressed despite earlier chemotherapy.
