Nitrendipine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Uva Ursi interacts with.

Theoretically, uva ursi may decrease the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro, uva ursi appears to inhibit CYP3A4. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist: nitrendipine (Cardif) is a calcium channel blocker that your body clears using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In lab tests, uva ursi seems to slow that same enzyme down. If that happened in real life, your body might break down nitrendipine more slowly, letting it build up. That could mean a stronger blood pressure drop, with possible dizziness, flushing, headache, ankle swelling, or a faster heartbeat.

The important part: this comes only from test-tube studies, and it has not been seen in actual people, so it stays theoretical for now. Still, since uva ursi is meant only for short-term use, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing the two.
