Build XT Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Build XT against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Build XT by Jacked Factory
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Build XT contains 8 active ingredients, most of them mushroom extracts known for their potential effects on energy and athletic performance. Cordyceps militaris, lion's mane (Hericium erinaceus), reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), Pleurotus eryngii, Lentinula edodes, and Trametes versicolor are all medicinal mushrooms.
The product also includes branded complexes: PeakO2 (a blend of mushroom ingredients for oxygen utilization), ElevATP (designed to support cellular energy), and AstraGin (meant to enhance nutrient absorption). Two inactive ingredients—hypromellose (the capsule material) and leucine (an amino acid)—round out the formula.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for these ingredients is sparse. Cordyceps is rated possibly ineffective for athletic performance—the main reason someone might buy this product—and there isn't enough data to say whether it helps sexual dysfunction, heart rhythm, asthma, lung cancer, or COPD.
Lion's mane mushroom has insufficient evidence for Alzheimer's disease, anxiety, athletic performance, cancer, and cognitive function or impairment. Reishi is rated possibly ineffective for high cholesterol and has insufficient evidence for altitude sickness, Alzheimer's disease, and athletic performance.
For the branded ingredients PeakO2, ElevATP, and AstraGin, as well as the other mushrooms in the formula, we hold no effectiveness ratings in our data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Cordyceps and lion's mane are generally well tolerated in the short term, though long-term safety for cordyceps and reishi isn't well studied. The most common side effects from cordyceps are mild—abdominal discomfort, constipation, or diarrhea—and taking it with food may help.
Lion's mane may cause gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, or a skin rash. Reishi can bring on dizziness, dry mouth, itching, nausea, rash, stomach upset, and rarely insomnia or headache; respiratory allergy to reishi spores, sore throat, and runny nose have also been reported.
There is one case report of liver inflammation (cholestatic hepatitis) possibly linked to cordyceps, though it's unclear whether cordyceps or an unknown contaminant was responsible—the person recovered after stopping the supplement. Neither cordyceps nor lion's mane has enough safety data for pregnancy or breastfeeding, so the safety data advises against use in both situations.
The same applies to reishi. We hold no pregnancy or breastfeeding safety information for the other ingredients.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Build XT, double-check these medication types with your doctor or pharmacist: blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin or aspirin)—Moderate risk of increased bleeding; blood-pressure medications—Moderate risk of blood pressure dropping too low; diabetes drugs—Moderate risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia); and immunosuppressants like cyclosporine—Moderate risk of interference with your therapy. If you're on testosterone therapy, cordyceps may have additive effects, though the significance is unclear.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Build XT is marketed for athletic performance, but cordyceps—often its star ingredient—is rated possibly ineffective for that purpose, and most other ingredients lack strong evidence. If you take blood thinners, diabetes drugs, blood-pressure medications, or immunosuppressants, this product poses a documented risk and you need to check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding it.
Avoid it if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Talk it over with your healthcare provider to see if it makes sense for your goals.

Build XT by Jacked Factory Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Build XT by Jacked Factory contains several ingredients with documented interactions affecting over 500 individual medications.
The most serious concern is a Moderate-severity interaction: cordyceps and lion's mane mushroom may both increase bleeding risk when combined with blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin or aspirin), since research suggests they can interfere with how platelets clump together. However, this hasn't been reported in people yet.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Reishi mushroom adds several Moderate interactions of its own. It may lower your blood pressure further if you're already on blood-pressure medications, raise low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) if you take diabetes drugs, and increase bleeding risk at higher doses (3 grams daily or more) when combined with blood thinners or antiplatelet agents.
Lion's mane and cordyceps also theoretically interfere with immunosuppressants like cyclosporine, since both stimulate the immune system and may reduce how much of these drugs your body needs.
Cordyceps has one additional Minor interaction: it may boost testosterone levels, so concurrent testosterone therapy could have additive effects—though the real-world significance is unclear. We could not check several other ingredients in this product (Pleurotus eryngii, Lentinula edodes, the specific components within PeakO2, Trametes versicolor, ElevATP, and AstraGin) because we hold no interaction data for them.
Altogether, these interactions span 502 individual medications. Before you start Build XT, run your exact prescriptions through the medication checker on this page or confirm with your doctor or pharmacist.

Ganoderma lucidum
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, high doses of reishi mushroom might increase the risk of bleeding.
A dose of 1.5 grams daily of reishi mushroom does not seem to decrease platelet aggregation, but a higher dose of 3 grams daily does.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, reishi mushroom might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal research suggests that reishi mushroom decreases blood sugar. However, in patients with type 2 diabetes, taking reishi mushroom does not reduce fasting glucose levels, and its effects on glycated hemoglobin are inconsistent.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concurrent use of reishi mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Reishi mushroom has shown hypotensive activity in animal research. Clinical evidence suggests that reishi mushroom reduces blood pressure in some, but not all, patients with hypertension.
Hericium erinaceus
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, lion's mane mushroom may increase the risk of bleeding when used with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro research suggests that lion's mane mushroom extracts can inhibit platelet aggregation.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, lion's mane mushroom may have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal research suggests that an aqueous extract of lion's mane mushroom can reduce serum glucose and increase serum insulin.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, concurrent use of lion's mane mushroom might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
In animal and in vitro research, lion's mane mushroom polysaccharides stimulate the immune system.
Cordyceps militaris
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, cordyceps may increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that cordyceps extract inhibits platelet aggregation and function. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, concurrent use of cordyceps might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that cordyceps stimulates the immune system. However, limited clinical research suggests that taking cordyceps may lower the necessary therapeutic dose of the immunosuppressant cyclosporine, which suggests that cordyceps may have an immunosuppressive effect.
Testosterone
Theoretically, concurrent use of cordyceps and testosterone might have additive effects.
Animal research suggests that cordyceps can increase testosterone levels. The clinical significance of this finding is unclear.
