Here's the simple version: both nicotine and 1,3-DMBA are stimulants. Nicotine, whether from a patch, gum, lozenge, or spray, already nudges your heart rate up and can raise your blood pressure. 1,3-DMBA appears to do the same thing. Stacking two stimulants together can add up, so you may notice a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, anxiety, or higher blood pressure.

Honestly, the bigger concern here is 1,3-DMBA itself. It's a synthetic stimulant the FDA considers an illegal supplement ingredient, with real heart and stroke risks, so I'd steer clear of it entirely. The interaction warning is theoretical, based mostly on animal data, but the safety problem with this ingredient isn't theoretical. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing the two.
