Here's the simple version: methylphenidate (the active ingredient in this product) is itself a stimulant. It already nudges up your heart rate and blood pressure and revs up your body's "fight or flight" system. 1,3-DMBA is another stimulant believed to do the very same thing. Stack two stimulants together and you're essentially pressing the gas pedal twice at once.

What could that look like? A racing or pounding heart, jitteriness, a spike in blood pressure, headache, and trouble sleeping, with a small but real worry about more serious heart or stroke problems. To be fair, this concern comes mainly from animal studies, so it's theoretical. Still, 1,3-DMBA isn't a safe or approved ingredient, so please skip it and check with your pharmacist or doctor.
