Donepezil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group 1,3-dmba interacts with.

Theoretically, 1,3-DMBA might modestly increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that 1,3-DMBA weakly inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes.

Here's the gist for donepezil (Aricept). Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear donepezil from your body. In lab dish studies only, 1,3-DMBA appears to weakly block that enzyme. If that held true in real life, a little more donepezil could linger in your system, which might nudge up its usual side effects like nausea, diarrhea, a slower heartbeat, dizziness, trouble sleeping, or muscle cramps. Donepezil is the active drug itself, not a prodrug, so blocking that enzyme would make its effects a bit stronger, not weaker.

The bigger concern honestly isn't the enzyme. 1,3-DMBA is a banned, unsafe stimulant that can raise heart rate and blood pressure, and it simply shouldn't be in supplements. Please skip it and check with your pharmacist or doctor.
