Amitriptyline falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group 1,3-dmba interacts with.

Theoretically, 1,3-DMBA might modestly increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that 1,3-DMBA weakly inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes.

Here's the short version: your body uses a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear amitriptyline out. Lab studies suggest 1,3-DMBA may weakly block that enzyme. If it does, your amitriptyline could clear a little slower and build up slightly, which in theory could nudge up its usual side effects like drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, blurry vision, dizziness, or a faster or irregular heartbeat.

I want to be honest though, this is only based on test-tube research, the effect looks small, and it's rated minor. The bigger concern is 1,3-DMBA itself. It's a banned, unapproved stimulant with real heart and stroke risks, and stacking a stimulant with amitriptyline can strain your heart. I'd steer clear of it and check with your pharmacist or doctor.
