Nortriptyline falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group 1,3-dmba interacts with.

Theoretically, 1,3-DMBA might modestly increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that 1,3-DMBA weakly inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes.

Here's the short version on combining 1,3-DMBA with your nortriptyline. Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP2D6 to break nortriptyline down and clear it out. Lab (test tube) studies suggest 1,3-DMBA may weakly block that enzyme. In theory, that could let a bit more nortriptyline build up than usual, nudging up side effects like drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, dizziness on standing, or a faster heartbeat.

I want to be honest that this is only theoretical and based on lab data, not real people, so the risk is on the lower side. The bigger concern is 1,3-DMBA itself, which is a banned stimulant with real heart and stroke risks. I'd steer clear of it and check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything new with nortriptyline.
