Ibuprofen, Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group 1,3-dmba interacts with.

Theoretically, 1,3-DMBA might modestly increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that 1,3-DMBA weakly inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes.

Here's the thing to know about this combo product: the hydrocodone half relies on a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn into its more active pain-relieving form. So hydrocodone acts a bit like a prodrug here. Lab studies suggest 1,3-DMBA is a weak blocker of that enzyme, which in theory could slightly slow that conversion and shift how much pain relief you feel.

Honestly, this is a minor, theoretical concern based only on test-tube data, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The bigger worry with 1,3-DMBA is its stimulant effect, raising your heart rate and blood pressure, which isn't a great mix with any medication. It's a banned, unsafe ingredient, so please check with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
