Tolterodine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group 1,3-dmba interacts with.

Theoretically, 1,3-DMBA might modestly increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that 1,3-DMBA weakly inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes.

Here's the gist for Detrol (tolterodine). Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear this drug. Lab studies suggest 1,3-DMBA may weakly block that enzyme, which could let a bit more tolterodine build up. In theory, that might nudge up its usual side effects, things like dry mouth, constipation, blurry vision, or feeling drowsy.

I'll be honest with you though: this concern comes only from test-tube research, the effect looks small, and it's rated a minor interaction. The bigger worry by far is 1,3-DMBA itself. It's an unapproved, FDA-flagged stimulant linked to serious heart and stroke risks, so I'd steer clear of it entirely. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything new with your bladder medicine.

It targets three main symptoms: a sudden, hard-to-control urge to urinate (urgency), urinating too often (frequency), and leaking urine when that urge hits (urge urinary incontinence).
