Aripiprazole Lauroxil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group 1,3-dmba interacts with.

Theoretically, 1,3-DMBA might modestly increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that 1,3-DMBA weakly inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes.

Here's the short version: Aristada (aripiprazole lauroxil) is a long-acting injection your body slowly clears partly through a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. In lab dish testing, 1,3-DMBA appears to weakly block that same enzyme. In theory, that could let aripiprazole levels creep up a bit, which might mean more side effects like drowsiness, restlessness, dizziness, tremor, or feeling lightheaded when you stand.

I'll be honest, though, this is only a theoretical, minor concern based on test-tube data, not real people. The bigger worry to me is the 1,3-DMBA itself. It's an unapproved, banned stimulant tied to serious heart and stroke risks, so I'd steer clear of it entirely. Please run this by your doctor or pharmacist before mixing anything with your Aristada.

Abilify Asimtufii is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and as maintenance monotherapy for bipolar I disorder in adults. Aristada is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults, with Aristada Initio used specifically to help start Aristada therapy.
