Ertugliflozin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Ceylon Leadwort interacts with.

Ceylon leadwort root extract has been shown to both increase and decrease blood glucose levels in animal research. This effect has not yet been demonstrated in humans. Theoretically, Ceylon leadwort might reduce or potentiate the effects of antidiabetes drugs. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Medication dose adjustments may be necessary. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (Diabeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the honest picture with Ceylon Leadwort and ertugliflozin (Steglatro). In animal studies, this plant has pushed blood sugar in both directions, sometimes lowering it and sometimes raising it. That makes it hard to predict. We haven't seen this play out in people yet, so the concern is mostly theoretical and based on lab and animal work, not human evidence.

The practical worry is unpredictability. If the supplement adds to ertugliflozin's sugar-lowering, you could drift too low, with shakiness, sweating, or lightheadedness. If it works the other way, your control could slip. Neither is proven in humans, so don't panic. If you do try it, check your blood sugar more closely and loop in your pharmacist or doctor before making any changes.
