Niacin, Lovastatin falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Epistane interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might have additive adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Epistane is an anabolic androgenic steroid, and more specifically a 17-alpha-alkylated androgen. Therefore, there is concern that epistane has hepatotoxic effects. Also, epistane is structurally similar to epitiostanol, which has been associated with hepatotixicity in a case series of four patients.

Here's the concern with combining Advicor (which is niacin plus lovastatin) and Epistane: both can be hard on your liver. Lovastatin, like other statins, can sometimes raise liver enzymes, and high-dose niacin is also known to stress the liver. Epistane is a methylated anabolic steroid that's notoriously liver-toxic. Stacking them together could, in theory, add up to more liver strain than either alone.

To be honest, this interaction is theoretical, based on how these substances behave rather than reported cases together. Still, watch for warning signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual fatigue. Honestly, Epistane is illegal to sell as a supplement and we'd steer you away from it. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing these.
