Fexofenadine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Lentinan interacts with.

Laboratory research suggests that lentinan might increase the activity of cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans. However, watch for a decrease in the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 in patients taking lentinan.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fexofenadine (Allegra), triazolam (Halcion), and numerous others.

Here's the gist for Allegra (fexofenadine) and lentinan. In test-tube studies, lentinan seems to nudge up the activity of an enzyme called CYP3A4, which your body uses to help process certain medicines. If that were to happen with fexofenadine, your body might clear it a little faster, so it could work less well. In real life, that might look like your allergy symptoms (runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes, or hives) not being as well controlled as usual.

The honest part: this is only seen in lab research, not in actual people, so it's more of a theoretical concern than a proven problem. Fexofenadine is also a pretty safe, forgiving medicine. Still, if you want to use a lentinan supplement, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Fexofenadine Used For?

Brand name: Allegra

Fexofenadine temporarily relieves symptoms of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) and other upper respiratory allergies, including runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat.

Several products — including Allegra Hives 24hr tablets — are specifically used to reduce hives (urticaria) and relieve the itching that comes with them. Keep in mind that fexofenadine will not prevent hives or stop an allergic skin reaction from happening in the first place.
