Chlorpheniramine Polistirex, Codeine Polistirex falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Moringa interacts with.

Theoretically, moringa might increase or decrease levels of CYP3A4 substrates.
Some in vitro research suggests that moringa inhibits cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). However, other in vitro research suggests that moringa extract induces CYP3A4 enzymes. A pharmacokinetic study in patients with HIV shows no change in the pharmacokinetics of nevirapine, which is partially metabolized by CYP3A4, when administered concomitantly with moringa leaf powder 1.85 grams daily for 14 days.

Tuzistra XR combines codeine with the antihistamine chlorpheniramine. Here's the tricky part: codeine is a prodrug. Your body has to convert it (mainly through an enzyme called CYP2D6) into morphine to relieve pain or quiet a cough. The CYP3A4 pathway that moringa might touch is more of a side route for codeine, so the effect here is harder to predict.

The honest truth is that this interaction is theoretical. It comes only from lab studies, and they don't even agree (some suggest moringa blocks CYP3A4, others suggest it speeds it up). One small human study found no real change. Food amounts of moringa are unlikely to matter. Still, since this combo can cause drowsiness, slowed breathing, and constipation, check with your pharmacist before using concentrated moringa supplements alongside it.
