Why this applies to Bosentan

Bosentan falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Some clinical research shows that ostarine can increase alanine aminotransferase, a marker of liver damage, in some patients. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that supplements containing SARMs, such as ostarine, have been associated with reports of liver toxicity and there are at least two reports of drug-induced liver injury attributed to the use of ostarine.

Here's the concern with pairing these two: Bosentan is already known to be hard on the liver. In fact, anyone on it has to get regular blood tests to watch liver enzymes, because Bosentan can raise them and, in some cases, cause real liver damage. Ostarine carries its own liver risk. Some studies show it can bump up ALT (a liver marker), and the FDA has tied SARMs like Ostarine to reports of liver injury.

Stacking two liver-stressing products together could add up. Watch for warning signs like yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, nausea, or unusual tiredness. This concern is based mostly on how these work, not on strong head-to-head studies, but given Bosentan's known liver effects I'd take it seriously. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

Bosentan also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES.

Theoretically, ostarine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9, although clinical research suggests this is not clinically relevant.
Although in vitro research suggests that ostarine inhibits CYP2C9, more robust clinical research shows that ostarine does not significantly affect CYP2C9.

Here's the short version on pairing Ostarine with Bosentan (Tracleer). Your body clears bosentan partly through a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Early lab-dish testing hinted that Ostarine might slow that enzyme down, which in theory could let bosentan build up a bit and raise the odds of side effects like headache, flushing, swelling in your legs, or low blood pressure.

The reassuring part: better clinical studies suggest Ostarine does not meaningfully change CYP2C9 activity in real people, so this concern stays mostly theoretical and is rated minor and unlikely. My bigger worry is Ostarine itself, an unapproved SARM linked to liver injury, and bosentan can already stress the liver. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

What Is Bosentan Used For?

Brand name: Tracleer

Bosentan is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) — high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs. In adults, it helps improve the ability to exercise and slows how quickly the disease gets worse.

In children aged 3 years and older with idiopathic (no known cause) or congenital (present from birth) PAH, bosentan is used to lower resistance in the lung blood vessels, which is expected to improve exercise ability. Tracleer is one brand approved for both adults and pediatric patients with PAH.
