Ostarine + Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen
Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen brand name: Advil Dual Action.
Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen falls into 2 drug categories that Ostarine can interact with; the most serious is rated moderate. Theoretically, concomitant use with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of adverse hepatotoxic effects.

These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Ostarine interacts with whole categories of medication. Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Ostarine in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS
1 of 2Why this applies to Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen
Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Ostarine interacts with.
Some clinical research shows that ostarine can increase alanine aminotransferase, a marker of liver damage, in some patients. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that supplements containing SARMs, such as ostarine, have been associated with reports of liver toxicity and there are at least two reports of drug-induced liver injury attributed to the use of ostarine.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with combining Ostarine and Advil Dual Action (which pairs ibuprofen with acetaminophen). Ostarine itself has been linked to liver stress, and some people taking it show a rise in ALT, a blood marker that signals the liver is under strain. Both ingredients in this combo product can also be hard on the liver, especially acetaminophen at higher doses. Stacking them together could, in theory, add up and raise the chance of liver irritation.
To be honest, this is a theoretical caution based on how these substances behave, not proven cases from this exact pairing. Still, watch for warning signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness. Please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES
2 of 2Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES.
Although in vitro research suggests that ostarine inhibits CYP2C9, more robust clinical research shows that ostarine does not significantly affect CYP2C9.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the gist for Advil Dual Action, which pairs ibuprofen with acetaminophen. The ibuprofen half is partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In a test tube, Ostarine looked like it might block that enzyme, which could in theory let ibuprofen build up a bit and raise the odds of side effects like stomach upset, heartburn, or kidney strain.
The good news: better human studies show Ostarine does not actually slow CYP2C9 in a meaningful way, so this concern stays mostly theoretical and is rated minor and unlikely. My bigger worry is Ostarine itself, since this unapproved SARM has been tied to liver injury, and acetaminophen is also hard on the liver. Please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen page
“Advil Dual Action pairs ibuprofen, an NSAID with built-in stomach-bleeding risk, and acetaminophen, which the liver processes, so this interaction list deserves a careful read, not a skim. Most of the entries can add to bleeding risk, while smaller clusters put extra strain on the liver or kidneys.”

About Ostarine
What is Ostarine?
- Muscle building
- Athletic performance
- Fat loss / body recomposition
- Bodybuilding cycles
Ostarine (also called MK-2866 or enobosarm) is an experimental, unapproved drug known as a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator), not a true dietary supplement. It is not approved by the FDA, is banned in sports, and has been linked to liver injury and other serious harms, so it is not recommended for general use.
