Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Pravastatin Sodium
Pravastatin Sodium falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Ostarine interacts with.
Some clinical research shows that ostarine can increase alanine aminotransferase, a marker of liver damage, in some patients. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that supplements containing SARMs, such as ostarine, have been associated with reports of liver toxicity and there are at least two reports of drug-induced liver injury attributed to the use of ostarine.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: this isn't about Ostarine changing how your pravastatin works. It's about both being potentially hard on your liver. Pravastatin, like all statins, occasionally raises liver enzymes. Ostarine has its own track record of liver trouble, including real reports of drug-induced liver injury and bumps in ALT (a liver marker). Stack the two and you may be doubling up on stress to the same organ.
Watch for signs like yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain on the right side, unusual tiredness, or nausea. Honestly, I'd steer clear of Ostarine altogether (it's an unapproved, banned substance), but please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before mixing anything with your statin.

About Ostarine
What is Ostarine?
- Muscle building
- Athletic performance
- Fat loss / body recomposition
- Bodybuilding cycles
Ostarine (also called MK-2866 or enobosarm) is an experimental, unapproved drug known as a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator), not a true dietary supplement. It is not approved by the FDA, is banned in sports, and has been linked to liver injury and other serious harms, so it is not recommended for general use.
About Pravastatin
What Is Pravastatin Used For?
Brand name: Pravachol
Pravastatin Sodium tablets are used alongside a cholesterol-lowering diet to treat high LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), high triglycerides (blood fats), and abnormal cholesterol levels. They are approved for adults and for children ages 8 and older with a hereditary form of high cholesterol called heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH).
In people without known heart disease, pravastatin helps reduce the risk of heart attack and cardiovascular death. In people who already have coronary heart disease (CHD), it is used to reduce the risk of heart attack, coronary death, stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), and procedures to restore blood flow to the heart — and to slow the buildup of plaque in the arteries.
