Ostarine + Rifabutin
Rifabutin brand name: Mycobutin.
Ostarine has a moderate interaction with Rifabutin. Theoretically, concomitant use of ostarine with CYP3A4 inducers could decrease the clinical effects of ostarine.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INDUCERS
Why this applies to Rifabutin
Rifabutin falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INDUCERS — the group Ostarine interacts with.
Ostarine is partially metabolized by CYP3A4. Clinical research shows that taking rifampin, a potent inducer of CYP3A4, reduces the maximum plasma concentration of ostarine by 23% and the area under the curve by 43%.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for this pairing. Rifabutin is a strong booster of a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, the same enzyme that helps break down Ostarine. So when the two overlap, rifabutin speeds up how fast your body clears the Ostarine. In one study with a close cousin of rifabutin (rifampin), Ostarine blood levels dropped by roughly 23% at peak and about 43% overall. In plain terms, the Ostarine becomes weaker and less likely to do whatever you were hoping it would do.
Honestly, my bigger concern isn't this interaction at all. Ostarine is an unapproved SARM, not a true supplement, and it has been tied to liver injury. Rifabutin can also be hard on the liver, so stacking them worries me. Please don't change your rifabutin, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using Ostarine.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Rifabutin page
“Most people on rifabutin (Mycobutin) are treating or preventing serious mycobacterial infections like MAC or tuberculosis, often for months at a time, and this list deserves a careful read before adding a single capsule. Of the 180 supplements with an interaction on file, three carry a major rating, and all three can shift rifabutin's…”

About Ostarine
What is Ostarine?
- Muscle building
- Athletic performance
- Fat loss / body recomposition
- Bodybuilding cycles
Ostarine (also called MK-2866 or enobosarm) is an experimental, unapproved drug known as a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator), not a true dietary supplement. It is not approved by the FDA, is banned in sports, and has been linked to liver injury and other serious harms, so it is not recommended for general use.
About Rifabutin
What Is Rifabutin Used For?
Brand name: Mycobutin
Rifabutin capsules are used to prevent disseminated MAC disease — a serious bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium avium complex — in patients with advanced HIV infection.

Rifabutin Is Linked to Lower Levels of 7 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Rifabutin as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Ostarine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
