Tocilizumab falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Some clinical research shows that ostarine can increase alanine aminotransferase, a marker of liver damage, in some patients. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that supplements containing SARMs, such as ostarine, have been associated with reports of liver toxicity and there are at least two reports of drug-induced liver injury attributed to the use of ostarine.

Here's the concern with pairing Ostarine and Tocilizumab (Actemra): both can be hard on your liver. Tocilizumab already carries a known risk of raising liver enzymes (ALT and AST), and your care team typically checks bloodwork because of that. Ostarine, a SARM that is not FDA-approved, has been tied to elevated liver enzymes and even reports of real liver injury.

Stacking two things that stress the liver could add up. Watch for signs like yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain on the right side, nausea, or unusual tiredness. To be clear, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on how each is known to affect the liver, not proven for this exact combo. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

What Is Tocilizumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Actemra

Tocilizumab products block IL-6, a protein that drives inflammation. The label for Actemra lists several uses in adults and children.

Actemra is used for rheumatoid arthritis, giant cell arteritis, systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease, polyarticular and systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis, CAR T cell-induced cytokine release syndrome, and COVID-19 in hospitalized patients. Some uses apply only to certain ages or routes, so ask your prescriber about your product.
