Tocilizumab falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of adverse hepatotoxic effects.
Some clinical research shows that ostarine can increase alanine aminotransferase, a marker of liver damage, in some patients. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that supplements containing SARMs, such as ostarine, have been associated with reports of liver toxicity and there are at least two reports of drug-induced liver injury attributed to the use of ostarine.

Here's the concern with pairing Ostarine and Tocilizumab (Actemra): both can be hard on your liver. Tocilizumab already carries a known risk of raising liver enzymes (ALT and AST), and your care team typically checks bloodwork because of that. Ostarine, a SARM that is not FDA-approved, has been tied to elevated liver enzymes and even reports of real liver injury.

Stacking two things that stress the liver could add up. Watch for signs like yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain on the right side, nausea, or unusual tiredness. To be clear, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on how each is known to affect the liver, not proven for this exact combo. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

It is not approved by the FDA, is banned in sports, and has been linked to liver injury and other serious harms, so it is not recommended for general use.

What Is Tocilizumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Actemra

Tocilizumab injection is used to treat several serious inflammatory and immune-related conditions. Actemra (tocilizumab) is indicated for moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis in adults who haven't responded well to other disease-modifying drugs, giant cell arteritis in adults, systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD) to slow lung function decline, polyarticular and systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis in patients 2 years and older, and severe or life-threatening cytokine release syndrome (CRS) caused by CAR T-cell therapy in adults and children 2 and older.

Actemra is also approved for hospitalized adults and children aged 2 and older with COVID-19 who are on corticosteroids and need supplemental oxygen or mechanical breathing support. Not every brand or route is approved for every use — your prescriber will choose the right form for your specific condition.
