Trofinetide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INHIBITORS — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of ostarine with CYP3A4 inhibitors could increase the effects and adverse effects of ostarine, although this is unlikely to be clinically significant.
Ostarine is partially metabolized by CYP3A4. However, clinical research shows that taking itraconazole, a potent inhibitor of CYP3A4, had minimal effects on the levels of ostarine in the body.

Here's the key thing to understand: in this pairing, Trofinetide (Daybue) is playing the role of the CYP3A4 blocker, and Ostarine is the one that gets partly cleared by that same CYP3A4 enzyme. So the theory is that Trofinetide could slow the breakdown of Ostarine, letting more of it build up and raising the chance of its side effects, which can include liver strain and hormonal changes.

In practice, this is very unlikely to matter. When researchers tested Ostarine with a much stronger CYP3A4 blocker (itraconazole), Ostarine levels barely budged. Still, keep in mind that Ostarine is an unapproved SARM linked to liver injury, so I wouldn't recommend it at all. If you use it, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist first.

What Is Trofinetide Used For?

Brand name: Daybue

Daybue and Daybue Stix are both approved to treat Rett syndrome in adults and pediatric patients 2 years of age and older. Rett syndrome is a rare neurological condition, and these are the branded forms of trofinetide available to treat it.

Both Daybue (oral solution) and Daybue Stix (powder that is dissolved to make an oral solution) carry this same indication. The safety and effectiveness in children under 2 years of age have not been established.
