Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Stimul8 Watermelon contains 8 active ingredients. CarnoSyn (beta-alanine) supports athletic and physical performance.
The product also contains caffeine (as 1,3,7-Trimethylxanthine), hordenine HCl, cocoa seed extract, bitter orange (Advantra Z), and three other components: Beta-Phenethylamine HCl, Rauwolfia vomitoria, and IRISINXD. The inactive ingredients are malic acid, watermelon flavoring, citric acid, sucralose, acesulfame potassium, calcium silicate, silica, and FD&C Red #40.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Beta-alanine is possibly effective for athletic performance and physical performance, though the evidence is still emerging. For other uses listed — age-related cognitive decline, COPD, cognitive function, and menopausal symptoms — the data we hold shows insufficient evidence to rate it.
Caffeine is likely effective for mental alertness and athletic performance, and effective for neonatal apnea (a newborn breathing condition) and postoperative headache. Cocoa is possibly effective for cardiovascular health.
We don't have effectiveness ratings on file for hordenine, bitter orange for most claims, or the other active ingredients in this formula.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Beta-alanine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults but commonly causes a harmless tingling sensation (paresthesia) in the skin, usually starting on the scalp within 20 minutes and lasting about an hour. Caffeine in moderate amounts is generally safe for healthy adults, though high doses can cause serious side effects — common ones include anxiety, dependence, diarrhea, headache, insomnia, nausea, and tremors.
Hordenine safety data in humans is very limited; it acts as a stimulant and theoretically may cause increased heart rate (tachycardia) and high blood pressure, though this hasn't been confirmed in people. Bitter orange is not considered safe when taken in medicinal amounts — it can raise blood pressure and heart rate, especially combined with caffeine, and rare serious effects include heart attack, QT prolongation, seizures, and stroke.
Cocoa is generally well tolerated in food amounts but contains caffeine and may cause gastrointestinal upset, headache, and nausea.

Major interaction found
Before taking this product, check with your pharmacist if you're on monoamine oxidase inhibitors (used for depression), midazolam or other sedatives, ephedrine or other stimulant drugs, blood pressure medications, diabetes medications, anti-seizure drugs like phenobarbital or carbamazepine, clozapine (an antipsychotic), or any antibiotic from the quinolone family. The stimulant ingredients and caffeine content make this a product to verify carefully with your medications.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Stimul8 Watermelon is a stimulant-based pre-workout powder marketed for athletic performance. It's not appropriate if you take blood pressure medications, certain antidepressants (especially MAOIs), sedatives like midazolam, or diabetes drugs — and it carries real risks if you take ephedrine or other stimulants.
Even if your medications aren't on the interaction list, check them here before you buy. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor about whether this product fits your health situation.

Stimul8 Watermelon by FINAFLEX Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Stimul8 Watermelon by FINAFLEX contains several ingredients with documented drug interactions.
The most serious concern is bitter orange (Advantra Z), which carries major-severity interactions with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) — medications used for depression — due to its tyramine and synephrine content. Taking bitter orange with MAOIs could trigger a dangerous spike in blood pressure (hypertensive crisis).
Bitter orange also carries a major interaction with midazolam, a sedative, by raising its blood levels.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Caffeine and cocoa (which contains caffeine) present moderate-severity interactions with ephedrine, pentobarbital, dipyridamole, clozapine, cimetidine, quinolone antibiotics, phenobarbital, carbamazepine, and several other drugs. Hordenine HCl carries moderate interactions with stimulant drugs and MAOIs, and a minor interaction with CYP2D6 substrates (a group of medications metabolized by liver enzymes).
Bitter orange also interacts moderately with QT interval-prolonging drugs, CYP3A4 substrates, antidiabetes drugs, stimulant drugs, dextromethorphan, and caffeine itself.
We could not check Beta-Phenethylamine HCl, Rauwolfia vomitoria, or IRISINXD because we hold no data for these ingredients. Altogether, these interactions span 1,243 individual medications.
