Methamphetamine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Hordenine interacts with.

Hordenine is structurally similar to N-methyltyramine and synephrine, constituents in bitter orange known to have stimulant properties. Theoretically, taking hordenine with drugs with stimulant properties might increase the risk of hypertension and other adverse cardiovascular effects.
Some of these drugs include amphetamine, caffeine, methylphenidate, pseudoephedrine, and many others.

Here's the simple version: both hordenine and prescription methamphetamine (Desoxyn) act as stimulants. Hordenine is chemically related to the energizing compounds in bitter orange, and it may nudge up norepinephrine, one of your body's 'fight-or-flight' messengers. Methamphetamine already pushes those same signals hard, so stacking the two could pile stimulant on top of stimulant.

What that might feel like is a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or anxiety. To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds work, not strong human studies, so I don't want to overstate it. Still, since methamphetamine itself is a powerful stimulant, I'd skip the hordenine and check with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

Methamphetamine also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES.

Hordenine weakly inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) enzymes in vitro. Theoretically, hordenine might increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
Some of drugs that are CYP2D6 substrates include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the gist with these two together. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help break down methamphetamine (Desoxyn). In lab dish studies, hordenine appears to weakly block that enzyme. In theory, slowing that breakdown could let a bit more methamphetamine linger in your system, which might nudge its stimulant effects upward, things like a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, and reduced appetite.

Now the honest part: this is based only on test-tube data, the effect looks mild, and it's rated minor. On top of that, hordenine is itself a stimulant, so stacking two stimulants is really the bigger concern here. Please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
