Ecstasy falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Hordenine interacts with.

Hordenine is structurally similar to N-methyltyramine and synephrine, constituents in bitter orange known to have stimulant properties. Theoretically, taking hordenine with drugs with stimulant properties might increase the risk of hypertension and other adverse cardiovascular effects.
Some of these drugs include amphetamine, caffeine, methylphenidate, pseudoephedrine, and many others.

Here's the simple version: both hordenine and MDMA (Ecstasy) push your body toward its 'fight-or-flight' mode. MDMA already floods your system with norepinephrine and other stimulating chemicals, which is why it tends to spike your heart rate, raise your blood pressure, and bump up your body temperature. Stacking a stimulant like hordenine on top could, in theory, add to that strain and make a racing heart, high blood pressure, or overheating more likely.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern. It's based on how these compounds look and behave in lab studies, not on real human trials of the two together, so it's theoretical. That said, MDMA carries real cardiovascular and overheating risks on its own, so I wouldn't go adding another stimulant. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing anything like this.
