Azilsartan, Chlorthalidone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Ceylon Leadwort interacts with.

Plumbagin, a constituent of Ceylon leadwort, has been shown to inhibit cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) in vitro. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans. Theoretically, Ceylon leadwort might increase the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9. Drugs that are metabolized by CYP2C9 include celecoxib (Celebrex), diclofenac (Voltaren), fluvastatin (Lescol), glipizide (Glucotrol), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), irbesartan (Avapro), losartan (Cozaar), phenytoin (Dilantin), piroxicam (Feldene), tamoxifen (Nolvadex), tolbutamide (Tolinase), torsemide (Demadex), and S-warfarin (Coumadin).

Edarbyclor combines azilsartan (a blood pressure medicine) with chlorthalidone (a water pill). The concern here is mostly with the azilsartan part, since it relies in part on the liver enzyme CYP2C9 to be processed. Ceylon Leadwort contains plumbagin, which slowed this same enzyme in lab dishes. In theory, that could let azilsartan build up a bit, which might push your blood pressure too low. You could feel dizzy, lightheaded, or tired, especially when standing up.

Here's the honest part: this has only been seen in test-tube studies, never in real people, so the risk is uncertain and likely small. Still, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before starting Ceylon Leadwort, and keep an eye on your blood pressure if you do.
