Fludrocortisone falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Ceylon Leadwort interacts with.

Plumbagin, a constituent of Ceylon leadwort, has demonstrated immunosuppressant activity in animal research. Theoretically, Ceylon leadwort might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy. Immunosuppressant drugs include azathioprine (Imuran), basiliximab (Simulect), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), daclizumab (Zenapax), muromonab-CD3 (OKT3, Orthoclone OKT3), mycophenolate (CellCept), tacrolimus (FK506, Prograf), sirolimus (Rapamune), prednisone (Deltasone, Orasone), corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), and others.

Here's the thing to know about pairing Ceylon Leadwort with fludrocortisone (Florinef). Fludrocortisone is a corticosteroid, but it's mostly used for its salt-and-fluid balancing (mineralocorticoid) job, like in adrenal insufficiency or certain blood pressure issues. Ceylon Leadwort's main compound, plumbagin, has shown immune-calming activity in lab and animal studies only, so this is a theoretical concern rather than something proven in people.

If there's any overlap, it would more likely affect the steroid-type immune actions than the salt-balancing side you're probably relying on. Still, since the evidence is weak and unpredictable, I wouldn't add this supplement on your own. Check with your pharmacist or doctor first, especially since fludrocortisone needs steady, careful dosing.
