Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
PHENOTHIAZINES
Why this applies to Cyamemazine
Cyamemazine falls under PHENOTHIAZINES — the group Cola Nut interacts with.
Cola nut contains caffeine. Phenothiazines can reduce the metabolism of caffeine by inhibiting cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2).
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: cola nut is basically a caffeine source, and Cyamemazine (Tercian), a phenothiazine, can slow down the liver enzyme (CYP1A2) that normally clears caffeine from your body. So the medicine isn't the thing that builds up here, the caffeine is. With it hanging around longer, you might feel more of caffeine's usual effects, things like jitteriness, a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, or feeling on edge.
I'll be honest with you, this one is mostly theoretical and rests on lab data, so it's rated minor. For most people a regular cup of coffee or tea won't be a big deal, but concentrated cola nut supplements could add up. If you notice extra jitters, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.

About Cola Nut
What is Cola Nut?
- Energy and alertness
- Mental focus
- Physical performance
- Weight loss support
- Traditional digestive aid
Cola nut is a caffeine-containing seed from West Africa used mainly as a natural stimulant for energy and alertness.
