Aripiprazole Lauroxil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Devil's Claw interacts with.

Theoretically, devil's claw might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that devil's claw might inhibit CYP3A4, although this has not been reported in humans.

Here's the basics with this combo. Aripiprazole lauroxil is a long-acting injection that your body slowly turns into active aripiprazole, and one of the enzymes that clears it is called CYP3A4. Devil's claw, in lab tests, seems to slow that enzyme down a bit. In theory, that could let aripiprazole build up a little more than expected, which might mean more side effects like drowsiness, restlessness, dizziness, tremor, or feeling lightheaded when you stand up.

I want to be honest though: this is only seen in test-tube studies, not in real people, so it may not amount to much at all. Since this is a long-acting shot you can't simply skip a dose, just let your psychiatrist or pharmacist know before adding devil's claw so they can keep an eye on you.

Abilify Asimtufii is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and as maintenance monotherapy for bipolar I disorder in adults. Aristada is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults, with Aristada Initio used specifically to help start Aristada therapy.
