Here's the gist with DHEA and Trintellix (vortioxetine): this isn't about one changing the other's blood levels. Vortioxetine isn't a prodrug, so we're not worried about it being activated or blocked by DHEA. Instead, the concern is that both can nudge mood-related brain chemistry in the same direction, and stacking them might overshoot.

The evidence here is thin, mostly lab work plus a single case report where an SSRI plus DHEA triggered a manic episode. So this is more theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, watch for signs like unusual restlessness, racing thoughts, trouble sleeping, irritability, or feeling abnormally "up." This may matter more in younger people. Before adding DHEA, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first.
