Goldenseal might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.

First, an honest heads-up: PMA (methoxyamphetamine) is not a medicine. It is a dangerous, illegal street drug that has caused many deaths, and I can't recommend using it at all. That said, here is the pharmacology behind why mixing it with goldenseal is especially risky.

Your body relies heavily on an enzyme called CYP2D6 to break down and clear PMA. Goldenseal (through its berberine content) blocks that enzyme. With the cleanup crew slowed down, PMA can build up to higher levels in your blood. That means stronger and longer-lasting effects: a racing heart, dangerously high body temperature, soaring blood pressure, agitation, and a real risk of serious harm. PMA is already known for overheating the body, and slowing its breakdown only makes that worse. Please talk with a doctor before using either.
