Hordenine + Pemigatinib
Pemigatinib brand name: Pemazyre.
We found no known interaction between Hordenine and Pemigatinib in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Hordenine and Pemigatinib
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Pemigatinib and Hordenine in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Pemigatinib
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Pemigatinib is filed under 2 classifications — cytochrome p450 3a4 (cyp3a4) substrates, oral drugs. Hordenine has documented interactions with 3 drug classes — the most serious being monoamine oxidase inhibitors (maois) (moderate), stimulant drugs (moderate) and cytochrome p450 2d6 (cyp2d6) substrates (minor) — and none of Pemigatinib’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

This page covers Hordenine only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Pemigatinib page lists 138 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Grapefruit (major), St. John's Wort (major), Acacia Rigidula (moderate) and Adrafinil (moderate).
By severity: 3 major · 94 moderate · 41 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Pemigatinib page
“Pemigatinib (Pemazyre) is a targeted therapy for bile duct cancer, and it only works if its blood level stays where it should. Of the 138 supplements and herbs on file, 121 affect the liver enzyme (CYP3A4) that clears pemigatinib, which can push levels up toward worse side effects or pull them down until the cancer goes undertreated.”

- What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Hordenine
What is Hordenine?
- Energy and stimulation
- Athletic and workout performance
- Weight loss/fat burning
- Focus and mood
- Appetite control
Hordenine is a natural alkaloid found in barley and some cacti that is marketed as a stimulant for energy, focus, and fat loss, but solid human evidence for these benefits is lacking. Its safety in people has not been well studied, so caution is warranted, and it should be avoided in pregnancy, breastfeeding, and by people with heart conditions.
Alkaloid isolated from plants such as barley sprouts and certain cacti · Capsules, tablets, powders (often in pre-workout and 'fat burner' blends)
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Hordenine is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Hordenine record says about it on its own.
Hordenine: dosing
There is no established, well-studied dose for hordenine. The amounts found in supplements vary widely, and they have not been tested for safety or effectiveness in proper human trials. If you choose to use a product containing hordenine, follow the label instructions and do not exceed them. Be aware that it is often mixed with caffeine and other stimulants, so the total stimulant load may be higher than it appears.

About Pemigatinib
What Is Pemigatinib Used For?
Brand name: Pemazyre
Pemazyre (pemigatinib) is used to treat adults with a type of bile duct cancer called cholangiocarcinoma that cannot be surgically removed (locally advanced or metastatic) and has already been treated with at least one prior therapy. It is only for tumors that carry a specific gene change — an FGFR2 fusion or rearrangement — confirmed by an FDA-approved test. This approval is based on tumor response rates, and further studies are underway to confirm long-term benefit.
Pemazyre is also used to treat adults with relapsed or refractory myeloid/lymphoid neoplasms (MLNs) — blood or lymph system cancers that have stopped responding to or come back after prior treatment — when those cancers carry an FGFR1 rearrangement gene change.
Most-Reported Side Effects for Pemigatinib
From FAERS, the FDA’s public side-effect reporting system (821 reports, all brands). Reports are voluntary and are not proof the drug caused the effect.
