Why this applies to Triclabendazole

Triclabendazole falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Lentinan interacts with.

Laboratory evidence suggests that lentinan might increase the activity of cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2). So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans. However, watch for a decrease in the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2 in patients taking lentinan.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP1A2 include amitriptyline (Elavil), haloperidol (Haldol), ondansetron (Zofran), propranolol (Inderal), theophylline (Theo-Dur, others), verapamil (Calan, Isoptin, others), and others.

Here's the gist for triclabendazole (Egaten): your body uses an enzyme called CYP1A2 to help turn this medicine into its active form and process it. Lentinan, in lab and animal studies, looks like it might speed up that enzyme. If that held true in people, your body could clear the drug a little faster, which in theory might mean slightly less worm-killing power against the liver flukes.

The honest part: this has only been seen in test tubes and animals, never confirmed in humans, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Triclabendazole is also usually given as a short, one or two day course, which limits the worry. Still, since you want the infection fully treated, mention the lentinan to your pharmacist or doctor before you combine them.
