Bazedoxifene Acetate, Conjugated Estrogens falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Moringa interacts with.

Theoretically, moringa might increase or decrease levels of CYP3A4 substrates.
Some in vitro research suggests that moringa inhibits cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). However, other in vitro research suggests that moringa extract induces CYP3A4 enzymes. A pharmacokinetic study in patients with HIV shows no change in the pharmacokinetics of nevirapine, which is partially metabolized by CYP3A4, when administered concomitantly with moringa leaf powder 1.85 grams daily for 14 days.

Here's the deal with combining moringa and Duavee. The estrogen portion of this medicine is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In test-tube studies, moringa has gone both ways: sometimes it appears to slow that enzyme down, and other times it speeds it up. So in theory it could nudge your estrogen levels either higher (think breast tenderness, bloating, nausea, or spotting) or lower (less relief from hot flashes). Honestly, though, this is based only on lab work, and one human study showed no real change with another similar drug.

Bottom line: the food amounts of moringa in a meal are very unlikely to matter. If you're taking concentrated moringa supplements daily, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.

Theoretically, moringa leaf extract might increase the levels and clinical effects of P-glycoprotein substrates.
In vitro research shows that moringa leaf extract inhibits renal P-glycoprotein transport activity. So far, this reaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist with Duavee (which combines conjugated estrogens with bazedoxifene). Bazedoxifene is moved around the body partly by a transporter called P-glycoprotein. In lab dish studies, moringa leaf extract appears to slow that transporter down. In theory, that could let a bit more of the medication build up, which might mean stronger estrogen-like effects or more side effects such as breast tenderness, nausea, leg cramps, or bloating.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It comes only from test-tube research, and nothing like this has actually been reported in real patients. A sprinkle of moringa in food is very unlikely to matter; concentrated supplement capsules are the bigger question mark. Before you pair them, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Estrogen and Bazedoxifene Used For?

  • Estrogen and bazedoxifene tablets are used to treat hot flashes (sudden feelings of warmth, especially in the face, neck, and chest) in women who are experiencing menopause (stage of life when menstrual periods become less frequent and stop and women may experience other symptoms and body changes). Estrogen and bazedoxifene tablets are also used to prevent osteoporosis (condition in which the bones become thin and weak and break easily) in women who have undergone menopause. Estrogen is in a class of medications called hormones and bazedoxifene is in a class of medications called estrogen agonist–antagonists. Estrogen works by replacing estrogen that is normally produced by the body. Bazedoxifene is used to block the action of estrogen on the lining of the uterus, decreasing the risk of overgrowth that may lead to cancer.
