Perampanel falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, ostarine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9, although clinical research suggests this is not clinically relevant.
Although in vitro research suggests that ostarine inhibits CYP2C9, more robust clinical research shows that ostarine does not significantly affect CYP2C9.

Here's the short version on combining Ostarine with your Perampanel (Fycompa). Perampanel is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In a test tube, Ostarine looked like it might slow that enzyme down, which in theory could let Perampanel build up a bit and bring on more of its usual side effects, things like dizziness, drowsiness, trouble walking, or mood and irritability changes.

The good news is that better human research suggests Ostarine does not meaningfully block CYP2C9, so this concern is mostly theoretical and rated as minor and unlikely. My bigger worry is Ostarine itself, since it's an unapproved SARM that has been tied to liver injury and isn't recommended. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing it with your seizure medicine.

What Is Perampanel Used For?

Brand name: Fycompa

Perampanel — available as Fycompa and in generic forms — is used to treat partial-onset seizures (seizures that start in one area of the brain) in patients with epilepsy aged 4 years and older. Both the tablet and oral suspension forms carry this indication.

Perampanel tablets and oral suspension are also approved as add-on (adjunctive) therapy for primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (grand mal seizures involving the whole brain at once) in patients with epilepsy aged 12 years and older. Fycompa oral suspension and tablet share both indications.
