Rifapentine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INDUCERS — the group Ostarine interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of ostarine with CYP3A4 inducers could decrease the clinical effects of ostarine.
Ostarine is partially metabolized by CYP3A4. Clinical research shows that taking rifampin, a potent inducer of CYP3A4, reduces the maximum plasma concentration of ostarine by 23% and the area under the curve by 43%.

Here's the situation with these two. Rifapentine is a strong "speed-up" signal for a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, and Ostarine is partly broken down by that same enzyme. So when Rifapentine revs up CYP3A4, your body clears Ostarine faster. In a study using rifampin (a close cousin of Rifapentine), Ostarine blood levels dropped quite a bit. The likely result is that Ostarine becomes weaker, not stronger.

Honestly, my bigger concern isn't the lost Ostarine effect. Ostarine is an unapproved SARM that's been linked to liver injury, and Rifapentine is also tough on the liver. Stacking two liver stressors while treating something as serious as TB is risky. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them, and don't change your TB medicine on your own.

It is not approved by the FDA, is banned in sports, and has been linked to liver injury and other serious harms, so it is not recommended for general use.

About Rifapentine

What Is Rifapentine Used For?

Brand name: Priftin

Rifapentine tablets — sold as Priftin and as rifapentine tablets — are used to treat two forms of tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. For active pulmonary TB (a live TB infection in the lungs), it is approved for adults and children 12 years and older. It must always be combined with other anti-TB drugs — never taken alone.

For latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) — where TB bacteria are in the body but not yet causing illness — it is approved for adults and children 2 years and older who are at high risk of the infection becoming active. For LTBI, it is always taken together with isoniazid, once weekly for 12 weeks. Active TB disease must be ruled out before starting LTBI treatment.
