Here's the simple version: your desiccated thyroid extract (Westhroid, WP Thyroid) already supplies thyroid hormone, the T4 and T3 your body normally makes. Tiratricol acts like a strong version of T3 too, switching on the very same thyroid receptors. So stacking the two doesn't cancel out, it piles on. You'd essentially be getting a double dose of thyroid activity.

That extra push can cause classic signs of too much thyroid: a racing or pounding heart, palpitations, shakiness, sweating, trouble sleeping, anxiety, and weight loss. In some people it can trigger dangerous heart rhythms. Thyroid medicine is carefully dosed, so even a little extra matters. Please don't combine these. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before adding anything to your thyroid regimen.
