Insulin Lispro falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tiratricol interacts with.

Theoretically, tiratricol might interfere with blood glucose control.
Tiratricol is related to thyroid hormones, such as levothyroxine, which can interfere with blood glucose control and necessitate adjustment of diabetes drug therapy. It is not known if tiratricol has these effects.

Here's the short version: tiratricol acts a lot like your body's thyroid hormone, and thyroid hormones can nudge blood sugar upward. So in theory, adding tiratricol on top of your insulin lispro could blunt how well your mealtime insulin keeps sugars in check, possibly leading to higher readings or a feeling that your usual doses aren't doing the job.

I want to be honest, though: this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds work, not proven for tiratricol itself. The bigger worry is tiratricol on its own. It is not an approved supplement, the FDA has warned against it, and it can strain your heart and thyroid. Please don't start it, and if you've taken any, tell your doctor or pharmacist and keep a close eye on your glucose.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
