Here is the basic idea with repaglinide (Prandin). This little pill nudges your pancreas to release insulin so your blood sugar comes down. Tiratricol acts like the thyroid hormone T3, and thyroid activity can shift how your body handles sugar. The worry on file is theoretical, meaning it comes from how these substances behave in the body, not from solid studies in people taking them together.

In practice, if tiratricol revs up your metabolism, it could throw off your blood sugar control and make your repaglinide dose feel like the wrong fit, either too much or too little. But honestly, the bigger problem is tiratricol itself. The FDA has warned against it because it can trigger serious heart and thyroid trouble. I would not pair it with anything. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.

Repaglinide is not for type 1 diabetes or for treating diabetic ketoacidosis (a dangerous condition where the blood becomes too acidic due to lack of insulin).
