Chlorpropamide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tiratricol interacts with.

Theoretically, tiratricol might interfere with blood glucose control.
Tiratricol is related to thyroid hormones, such as levothyroxine, which can interfere with blood glucose control and necessitate adjustment of diabetes drug therapy. It is not known if tiratricol has these effects.

Here's the quick version for chlorpropamide, your sulfonylurea that lowers blood sugar by nudging your pancreas to release more insulin. Tiratricol acts like a strong thyroid hormone, and thyroid hormones can tug blood sugar levels in unpredictable directions. The worry on file is that tiratricol could make your blood sugar harder to control, which might leave your chlorpropamide working too much (low blood sugar, shakiness, sweating, confusion) or not enough (high readings). Honestly, though, this is a theoretical concern based on how thyroid hormones behave, not on solid studies with tiratricol itself.

The bigger issue: tiratricol isn't a safe supplement at all. The FDA has warned against it because it can stress your heart and thyroid. Please skip products containing it and check with your pharmacist or doctor.
