Abrocitinib falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Tiratricol interacts with.

Theoretically, tiratricol might increase the hypoprothrombinemic effects of oral anticoagulants.
Tiratricol is related to thyroid hormones such as levothyroxine. The hypoprothrombinemic effects of oral anticoagulants, including warfarin (Coumadin), are increased by levothyroxine due to increased catabolism of vitamin K-dependent clotting factors. It is not known if tiratricol has a similar effect.

Here's a quick heads-up on this one. The interaction we have on file actually involves blood thinners like warfarin, not abrocitinib itself. Tiratricol acts like thyroid hormone, and thyroid hormone can speed up how the body breaks down clotting factors, which makes blood thinners work more strongly. That's a real concern for someone on warfarin, but abrocitinib (Cibinqo) is a JAK inhibitor for eczema and works in a completely different way.

So I wouldn't expect a meaningful interaction between tiratricol and abrocitinib based on this file. The bigger issue is tiratricol itself: it's an unapproved, risky ingredient the FDA has warned against because it can strain your heart and thyroid. Please skip it, and check with your pharmacist or doctor about anything you're adding alongside abrocitinib.

About Abrocitinib

What Is Abrocitinib Used For?

Brand name: Cibinqo

Cibinqo (abrocitinib) is used to treat moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children 12 years of age and older. It is specifically for people whose eczema has not been adequately controlled with other systemic (whole-body) treatments, including biologics, or when those treatments are not a safe option.

Cibinqo is not recommended to be used at the same time as other JAK inhibitors, biologic immunomodulators, or other immunosuppressants (medicines that reduce immune system activity).
