Hydrocodone Bitartrate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Uva Ursi interacts with.

Theoretically, uva ursi may decrease the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro, uva ursi appears to inhibit CYP3A4. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the idea behind this pairing. Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down hydrocodone. In lab tests (test tube only, not in real people), uva ursi appears to slow that enzyme down. If that were to happen in your body, hydrocodone could clear more slowly and build up a bit, which might mean stronger opioid effects like extra drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's theoretical and hasn't been shown in humans, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, hydrocodone is a powerful medicine, so before adding uva ursi please run it by your pharmacist or doctor, and never adjust your hydrocodone dose on your own.
