Why this applies to Belladonna, Phenobarbital

Belladonna, Phenobarbital falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2B6 (CYP2B6) SUBSTRATES — the group Ceylon Leadwort interacts with.

Plumbagin, a constituent of Ceylon leadwort, has been shown to inhibit cytochrome P450 2B6 (CYP2B6) in vitro. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans. Theoretically, Ceylon leadwort might increase the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2B6. Drugs that are metabolized by CYP2B6 include ketamine (Ketalar), phenobarbital, orphenadrine (Norflex), secobarbital (Seconal), and dexamethasone (Decadron).

Here's the gist for your Bellophen or Susano. The phenobarbital part of this combo is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2B6. A compound in Ceylon Leadwort, plumbagin, has slowed that enzyme down in lab dish studies. If that held true in people, your body might clear the phenobarbital a little slower, letting it build up. With more phenobarbital around, you could feel extra drowsy, foggy, dizzy, or unsteady.

I want to be honest about the strength here: this is only test-tube data, and it has never been confirmed in humans, so treat it as a theoretical caution, not a proven problem. Still, since phenobarbital is potent and barbiturates leave little wiggle room, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.
