Haloperidol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, chanca piedra might reduce the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that chanca piedra extract increases CYP1A2 activity. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates and lower serum concentrations. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for Haloperidol (Haldol). Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP1A2 to help break this medicine down. Lab studies hint that chanca piedra may speed that enzyme up. If that happened in real life, it could clear haloperidol from your system a little faster, which might leave you with less of the drug and a weaker effect, possibly meaning a return of symptoms like agitation, tics, or trouble telling what's real.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is only test-tube and animal data, and it has never been reported in actual people. So it's more of a theoretical concern than a proven problem. Still, since haloperidol keeps serious symptoms in check, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding chanca piedra rather than changing anything on your own.

Here's the situation with these two together. Your body partly relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear haloperidol (Haldol) out of your system. In lab studies, chanca piedra appears to slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, haloperidol could build up a bit higher than usual, which might mean stronger sedation, dizziness, low blood pressure, or muscle stiffness and restlessness.

The honest part: this is only a theoretical concern based on test-tube research, and it has not been reported in actual people. So I don't want you to panic. Still, since haloperidol is a medication where dose really matters, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before you add a concentrated chanca piedra supplement.

Haloperidol is used to manage symptoms of psychotic disorders and to control the tics and vocal outbursts of Tourette's disorder in both children and adults.

In children, it is also used for severe combative or explosive behavior problems, and for hyperactivity with conduct disorders — but only when other treatments like therapy or non-antipsychotic medications have not worked.
