In this combo pill, the ingredient that really interacts here is the caffeine. Caffeine is cleared by an enzyme called CYP1A2, and lab studies suggest lentinan may speed that enzyme up. If that happened in real life, your body could clear caffeine a little faster, so you might notice less of its usual pick-me-up or a touch less of the headache-fighting boost it adds to the aspirin.
Honestly, this is very weak evidence, only from test-tube and animal work, and it has never been reported in actual people. The dihydrocodeine and aspirin parts aren't really affected by this pathway. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but since lentinan products vary so much, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Here's the part of Synalgos DC that matters most for this combination: the dihydrocodeine. It's a prodrug, meaning your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to convert it into the active painkiller that actually relieves your discomfort. Lab research hints that lentinan might speed up CYP2D6. If that happened in people, your body could activate dihydrocodeine faster, which in theory could nudge up its effects (more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or nausea) rather than weaken them.
The honest truth is this is only test-tube and animal data, never confirmed in real patients, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The aspirin and caffeine pieces aren't really involved here. Still, if you plan to use a lentinan supplement, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Here's the wrinkle with this combination. The dihydrocodeine part of Synalgos DC is actually a prodrug, meaning your liver has to convert it into its stronger active form before it does much for pain. Some of that processing runs through the CYP3A4 enzyme. Lab studies hint that lentinan might speed up CYP3A4, so in theory it could shift how this medicine is handled and may leave you with less pain relief than you'd expect.
I want to be honest about the strength here: this is only test-tube and animal data, and it has never been seen in real patients. So I'm not alarmed. If you do use a lentinan supplement and notice your pain isn't being controlled as well, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
