Moringa + Aspirin, Caffeine
Aspirin, Caffeine brand name: Anacin.
Aspirin, Caffeine falls into 2 drug categories that Moringa can interact with; the most serious is rated moderate. Theoretically, moringa might increase or decrease levels of CYP3A4 substrates.

These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Moringa interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Caffeine falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Moringa in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
1 of 2Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine
Aspirin, Caffeine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Moringa interacts with.
Some in vitro research suggests that moringa inhibits cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). However, other in vitro research suggests that moringa extract induces CYP3A4 enzymes. A pharmacokinetic study in patients with HIV shows no change in the pharmacokinetics of nevirapine, which is partially metabolized by CYP3A4, when administered concomitantly with moringa leaf powder 1.85 grams daily for 14 days.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the honest picture with moringa and a product like Anacin (aspirin plus caffeine). The caffeine part is partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, and moringa has shown mixed signals in lab dishes: some studies suggest it slows that enzyme, others suggest it speeds it up. So we genuinely can't say which way it would push, if it pushes at all.
This is only test-tube and animal data, and a real human study with a different drug showed no meaningful change. In practice, food amounts of moringa are very unlikely to matter. If you took a lot, in theory you could feel slightly more or less caffeine effect (jittery, fast heartbeat, or just less perky). Nothing alarming, but check with your pharmacist if you use concentrated moringa daily.

CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
2 of 2Aspirin, Caffeine also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES.
In vitro research shows that moringa extract induces CYP1A2 enzymes.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
In this combo product, the caffeine part is the one to think about. Your body clears caffeine using a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. Lab studies suggest moringa might speed that enzyme up a bit, which could mean caffeine gets broken down a little faster. In plain terms, you might notice slightly less of caffeine's usual kick, like a touch less alertness. The aspirin portion isn't really affected by this enzyme.
Honestly, this is a minor, theoretical concern based only on test-tube and animal research, not real people. Everyday food amounts of moringa are very unlikely to matter. If you take concentrated moringa supplements regularly, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist, but there's no need to worry.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Caffeine page
“Anacin combines aspirin with caffeine, so supplements can hit it from two directions, and a few of the 347 on this list deserve real respect. The biggest group, over 200 ingredients, can raise bleeding risk on top of aspirin's blood-thinning effect; beer and wine carry major ratings because alcohol plus an aspirin-type drug makes stoma…”

About Moringa
What is Moringa?
- Nutritional supplement
- Blood sugar support
- Cholesterol support
- Inflammation
- Skin conditions
Moringa is a nutrient-rich plant whose leaves are widely used as a food and supplement, especially in parts of the world where malnutrition is common. Early research hints at possible benefits for blood sugar, cholesterol, and inflammation, but the human evidence is limited and not strong enough to recommend it as a treatment. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using moringa, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications.
