These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Oolong Tea interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Caffeine falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Oolong Tea in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
1 of 2Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine
Aspirin, Caffeine falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Oolong Tea interacts with.
Oolong tea contains caffeine. Caffeine is reported to have antiplatelet activity. Theoretically, the caffeine in oolong tea might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with these agents. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's a fun wrinkle with this combo: your Anacin already contains both aspirin and caffeine, so you're getting caffeine from two directions if you sip oolong tea alongside it. Aspirin is the heavy lifter here for bleeding risk, since it blocks your platelets from clumping. Lab studies suggest caffeine may have a mild antiplatelet effect of its own, so in theory it could nudge that bleeding tendency up a little.
The honest truth is this is theoretical, drawn from test-tube and animal work, and it hasn't actually been reported in real people. A cup or two of oolong is unlikely to cause trouble for most folks. Still, watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach upset, and check with your pharmacist if you use aspirin regularly or take other blood thinners.
STIMULANT DRUGS
2 of 2Aspirin, Caffeine also falls under STIMULANT DRUGS.
Oolong tea contains caffeine. Due to the CNS stimulant effects of the caffeine constituent of oolong tea, concomitant use with stimulant drugs can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: your Anacin tablets already contain caffeine, and oolong tea brings its own caffeine to the party. So when you sip the tea on top of taking this medicine, you're essentially stacking caffeine on caffeine. That extra stimulant load is what could nudge you into feeling jittery, shaky, anxious, or having a racing heart, trouble sleeping, or a touch of an upset stomach.
This isn't a dangerous chemical reaction, and it's based mostly on expert reasoning rather than hard studies. A cup or two of tea is usually no big deal for most healthy folks. But if you're caffeine-sensitive or already feeling wired, it's worth chatting with your pharmacist about your daily caffeine total.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Caffeine page
“Anacin combines aspirin with caffeine, so supplements can hit it from two directions, and a few of the 347 on this list deserve real respect. The biggest group, over 200 ingredients, can raise bleeding risk on top of aspirin's blood-thinning effect; beer and wine carry major ratings because alcohol plus an aspirin-type drug makes stoma…”
