Mometasone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, use of chanca piedra might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that chanca piedra extract inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the short version: in lab dishes, chanca piedra appears to slow down an enzyme called CYP3A4, which is one of the body's main ways of clearing certain medications. Mometasone is broken down partly by that same enzyme. So in theory, pairing the two could let a bit more mometasone linger in your system, which might mean slightly stronger steroid effects.

I want to keep this in perspective, though. The evidence here is only from test-tube studies, not real people, and most mometasone is used as a cream, ointment, or inhaler, so very little reaches your bloodstream to begin with. Heavy or long-term use over large skin areas would matter more than a small spot. If you plan to use both, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Mometasone Furoate topical products are used to relieve the inflammation and itching (pruritus) that come with corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses — a broad category of skin conditions that respond to steroid treatment.

Mometasone Furoate Topical Solution (Lotion) is specifically indicated for these skin conditions in patients 12 years of age and older. Mometasone Furoate cream may be used in adults and in children 2 years of age and older.
